Happy New Year = Fasting and Detox!

So the last 7 days have been a wonderful binge of truly horrible food! A cheat week if you will. I ate almost everything I have eliminated from my diet. Fast food and sweets. Gluten and Sugar. This one time during the year I consumed anything and everything.

Most likely this will be the last year I indulge like this for a full week. I didn't really like it as much as I thought I would. As I ate everything my brain was screaming to stop. And of course the physical effects started. Constipation, acne, cravings and more. So January 1st starts a 21 day detox and fasting program.

The first 11 days will be a Green Smoothie/Juicing fast along with a colon cleanse. 3 days of smoothies followed by 5 days of juicing concluding with another 3 days of smoothies. The next 10 days will consist mostly of raw veggies mixed with smoothies/juice.




Once the 21 day detox is over my diet will involve eating only between 12pm and 6pm. Two days of the week I will limit myself to only 600 calories. Fish, one day a week. Chicken/Pork/Beef, two days a week.

Exercise will include daily Yoga and walking/running. Abs and Strength training alternating. Waking up at 8am and sleeping by 12am. Water and Teas will be used as snacks and a sleep/stress aid. I will be posting my daily progress just in case anyone wants to try this some day.

Homemade Easy Sushi!


Create easy sushi by using tortilla's or wraps. I used a gluten free spinach tortilla. 
Hot Chili Nori
Smoked Salmon
Guacamole
Cucumber Dill Greek Yogurt
Cucumber
Drizzled with Ginger Vinaigrette 

This made a wonderful Spicy Salmon Roll!
